Basic Egyptian Bellydance Technique--Rajni of Sulukule presents a 6-week basics class focused on Egyptian style dance and rhythms. No dance experience required and all are welcome. Drop-ins welcome.
Capoeira Angola Yoga Fusion--Capoeira Angola is a traditional Afro-Brazilian martial art disguised and practiced as a dance. It incorporates the use of musical instruments, call and response songs, and unique movements to create the jogo of game, which refers to a partnered practice/competition. Practicing Capoeira Angola develops total body strength and overall conditioning, while promoting dynamic coordination and balance. it provides an excellent warm-up and partner for Hatha Yoga, creating an invigorating, intense, and fun-filled class. Try this fusion of Capoeira and Yoga if you are looking fora fitness class to improve overall strength, flexibility and coordination, and if you'd like to experience a workout as fun as it is vigorous. Chakra Bellydance--This is a unique practice that integrates the core isolations of traditional styles of bellydance with yoga. tantric work, trance dance & creative visualization. A treat for the novice & experienced dancer, you will learn how to take your dance in the realm of ecstatic prayer & daily practice. Baraka's dance circles are for women only, are appropriate for all skill levels & are *not* performance driven. Coin belts are not recommended. Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method--The objective of this class is the development of agility, balance, power, coordination, speed and reaction time within the context of a traditional Chinese martial art. The form and function of Taijiquean will be explored through hands-on instruction, partner work and '"push hands" exercises. Drop-ins welcome.
Intermediate/Advanced Tribal Style Bellydance--By invitation of instructor. Little Dragons Kung Fu--Designed for 3-5 yr olds, this class will be a fun introduction to Chinese exercise and martial arts. Class includes such activities as stretching, animal interaction, interactive games and Qigong exercises. Each child should be accompanied by a participating guardian. **Pre-registration required.

Poi Spinning/Open Studio--Glow Poi, Sock Poi, Veil Poi, Poi spinning is a form of juggling that involves swinging a ball on a cord around the body. Join others for this supervised practice session. All levels welcome.

Tribal Style Bellydance Basics---Learn the ancient art of middle eastern dance! This ongoing low-impact class teaches the basic foundations of bellydance; safe posture, technique, dance conditioning, and core isolations.
